Fairy Doors: Doors to the Imagination

Join us for a magical, hands-on workshop where we transform upcycled horseshoes into enchanting fairy tale doors — each one brimming with woodland charm, mossy details, tiny hinges, and secret-world imagination.

In this creative gathering, you’ll design and craft your own whimsical door using reclaimed horseshoes and natural elements. We’ll guide you through techniques for painting, distressing, embellishing, and adding miniature accents to create a door that looks as though it’s been tucked beneath an ancient tree for centuries.

But the magic doesn’t end at the workshop…

Fairy doors may become part of a larger community art adventure: The Kettle Falls Hidden Doorways Project. Participants will have the option to contribute (their) fairy door(s) to a town-wide art installation, where small hidden doors will be placed in unexpected nooks around our local streets, parks, and gathering spots — inviting curiosity and storytelling for visitors of all ages.
